About LGBTQ Counselling:

LGBTQ Counselling is a therapeutic practice dedicated to the care of and treatment for adult (18+) members of queer & trans (2SLGBTQI+) communities by a queer-identified counsellor.

Whether you are struggling to come out, questioning your gender identity, are transitioning, stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, abuse(s) or experience challenges in your relationship(s) (poly+/kink+). My queer head/heart is here to help.

LGBTQ Counselling is a place where human rights are respected, and two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and queer people are welcomed and supported.

ABOUT ME:

My approach - I meet you where you are at.

My name is Jeffrey Reffo. I identify as QUEER. My pronouns are he/they. I am a registered social worker, RSW, with my Masters in Social Work, MSW. I have been working in/with 2SLGBTQ communities for over 20 years in the areas of counselling and education.

I am a member, in good standing, of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers as well as the Ontario Association of Social Workers.

Everyone wants to 'get better,' but 'better' is a discovery process and self-work. 'Better' happens when you are ready.  Ready to move forward, ready to talk, ready to engage and be challenged in new ways. But don't despair; sometimes 'ready' means just taking the courageous steps to show up for your first session!

Great therapy sessions are born out of great conversations. These conversations involve talking, sharing, asking questions, getting asked questions, challenging boundaries and being introduced to new thoughts/ideas.  We will work at a reasonable pace for you, but my goal is not to sit with you for 15 years; you've got living to do!

I believe in using whatever fits at the moment. I don't get stuck in one lane, using specific therapies.  Ours will be a 50/50 relationship.  I will show up, ready to work, and you need to also.  I want to help you to move more easily through the world.

I look forward to meeting you.  Please navigate to my contact page so that we can start the conversation.
